Description

The Keeler Professional Ophthalmoscope is a premium direct ophthalmoscope designed for ophthalmologists, optometrists, and healthcare professionals who require exceptional precision, reliability, and optical clarity during retinal examinations. Manufactured in the United Kingdom, this advanced diagnostic instrument combines ergonomic design with high-performance optics to support accurate and efficient eye examinations in clinical and educational environments.

Engineered for precision diagnostics, the Professional Ophthalmoscope features a comprehensive lens range from +29D to -30D with precise single dioptre step adjustments between +9D and -10D. Its secondary auxiliary lens wheel enables rapid +/-20D changes, allowing clinicians to quickly adapt to different examination conditions and patient refractive requirements.

The instrument includes six diagnostic beam options designed for comprehensive ocular examination. These include wide-angle, macular, intermediate, slit, fixation cross, and glaucoma-focused viewing modes, enabling practitioners to assess multiple retinal and anterior segment conditions with enhanced flexibility. A swing-over red-free filter further improves blood vessel visualization, making the device especially useful for diabetic retinal assessments and vascular examinations.

Keeler offers the Professional Ophthalmoscope in multiple illumination configurations including LED, Xenon, 2.8V, and 3.6V systems. The LED and Xenon illumination technologies provide bright, white, high-contrast light output for improved retinal visualization and reduced maintenance requirements. LED models additionally offer longer operational life and lower power consumption compared to traditional bulb systems.

Its positive-action maywheel lens control system allows clinicians to quickly change lenses without moving away from the patient, improving examination speed and workflow efficiency. The integral soft brow rest enhances positioning comfort while protecting the user’s glasses during close examination procedures
